Snakes in a barn

Little black snake skin

Well, one little snake anyway.  This photo is of a small black snake-skin right outside the brick bank barn.  Black snakes are just one of the helpful species of wildlife at Oatlands.  Our 360 acres of precious open land shelter all sorts of creatures who can’t find a home in the suburbs.

This little snake shed his skin and moved on, but we know he’s not far away!  Our gardeners are protecting the baby bunny nest.
