Architects, engineers and surveryors…barn progress!

We’ve been busy at Oatlands in the last week and will be again this week!  We’ve had architects from Li/Saltzman and engineers from Thornton Tomasetti working at the barn site.  Surveyors are here this morning as well.  This is  part of the planning and preparation needed to make the 1821 Carter brick bank barn safe for visitors.  The crews will determine the structural load and what work will be needed to make the barn the center of our agricultural history interpretive hub here at Oatlands.
