Oatlands Uncovered

Lots of good things are happening at Oatlands.  The dig at the brick bank barn is turning up some things we expected and some things we didn’t expect.  We’re finding walls right where we thought we would, but we’ve also found out that the door to the stone silo-like structure is probably not original.  More to come this afternoon, when I hope to be able to take better pictures of two new test pits that were opened yesterday.

Stone wall, probably from an earlier structure
